Last Verified: October 11, 2026 — all 15 links opened; free plans confirmed on the official page where marked ✓
Google has quietly put a lot of AI tools out for free: design, marketing, coding, research, music.
The catch: Google Labs moves fast, and many “free Google AI tools” lists still include tools that closed or stopped being free. We opened every link on October 11 and gave each tool a status, so you know what you can still use.
TL;DR
- 11 to try: 8 open, 2 region-limited (Pomelli, Mixboard), 1 closing (Opal, Nov 17).
- Most need only a Google account. Only Antigravity needs an install.
- Skip Gemini CLI, Gemini Code Assist and Firebase Studio for new projects.
What “verified” means here
✓ = we read the free plan on the tool’s own page. Tools without ✓ opened fine, but their limits are only visible after you sign in, so check them there.

Not Sure Where to Start? Let AI Pick for You
Paste into Gemini (or any chatbot)
Fill in the three lines in brackets. You get at most three tools and a ready-to-type first message.
You are helping me choose free Google AI tools. Only choose from this list:
Stitch, Pomelli, Antigravity, Gemini Notebook, Google AI Studio, Jules, Code Wiki, Learn Your Way, Flow Music, Mixboard, Opal.
About me:
- My computer: [e.g. Windows 11 laptop]
- What I do: [e.g. I run a small online shop]
- The one thing I want help with: [e.g. I never know what to post on Instagram]
Do this:
1. Pick at most 3 tools that fit me, with one line each on why.
2. For each, say whether it needs an install, and warn me if it's region-limited (Pomelli, Mixboard) or closing (Opal ends Nov 17, 2026).
3. Write the exact first message I should type into the first tool, filled in for my situation.
Rules: don't suggest paid tools or tools not on the list. Never ask for passwords or payment details.

Opal is closing
It was fully open when we made the video. Opal’s own site now says it graduates out of Labs on November 17, 2026, and its workflows move to skills in the Gemini app. Try it, but don’t build on it.

How to Open Any of Them
Step 1. Open the link
~10 sec
Use a normal browser window signed in to your Google account.
Step 2. Read the first screen
~10 sec
A prompt box or sign-in button = it works for you. A waitlist form = not open to you yet. A country message = region-limited.
Step 3. Type a first prompt
~1 min
Use the ones below, or the one the AI picker wrote for you.
First Prompts to Try
Stitch
A booking screen for a small cafe: date picker, party size, and a Book button. Warm brown colours, mobile.
Three or so phone screens you can click through, with the code one tab away.
Gemini Notebook
Using only my sources, summarise the five most important points. Cite the source and section for each.
Add your PDFs or YouTube links first. Each point comes back with a citation you can click.
Antigravity
In this folder, build a one-page to-do list app (HTML, CSS and JavaScript in one file). Show me your plan first, then build it and tell me how to open it.
Open an empty folder first. Approving the plan before it writes code saves your weekly limit.
Opal
Build an app that takes a YouTube link, summarises the video in 5 bullet points, then writes one tweet about it.
Fine for a quick try. Don’t build anything you’ll need after November 17.
Pomelli needs no prompt: paste your own website address and let it read your brand first.
Each Tool in One Minute
Stitch
Describe an app in a sentence; get screen designs plus front-end code.
Exports HTML/CSS. The fastest way to get a first design you can react to. Status: Open. stitch.withgoogle.com
Pomelli
Paste your website; get on-brand social posts and ads.
Reads your logo, colours and tone first. Launched in a handful of countries; if the page won’t let you in, it isn’t in yours yet. Status: Region-limited. labs.google.com/pomelli
Antigravity
Google’s AI coding agent (IDE + CLI), a Claude Code / Cursor alternative.
$0 Individual plan with weekly rate limits. This is where Gemini CLI’s free users were pointed. Status: Open ✓. antigravity.google
Gemini Notebook (was NotebookLM)
Answers only from your PDFs, videos and notes, with citations.
Same tool, new name since July; old notebooklm links redirect. Audio Overviews (the two-host “podcast”) are on the free plan. Status: Open. notebook.google
Google AI Studio
Build and run a Gemini-powered app prototype in the browser.
Also where you get a Gemini API key for your own scripts. Status: Open. aistudio.google.com
Jules
Connect a GitHub repo, describe a task; it opens a pull request.
Free plan: 15 tasks a day, 3 at a time. Status: Open ✓. jules.google
Code Wiki
Auto-generated docs and diagrams for a GitHub codebase.
Handy before you touch someone else’s repo. Status: Open. codewiki.google
Learn Your Way
Turns a topic into a personalised lesson with quizzes.
Status: Open. learnyourway.withgoogle.com
Flow Music
Chat your way to a full song, then a music video.
Free to start with daily credits, no card needed. Status: Open ✓. flowmusic.app
Mixboard
AI moodboard: generate images and arrange them on a board.
Rolled out region by region; outside those, you’ll see a waitlist. Status: Region-limited. labs.google.com/mixboard
Opal
No-code mini-apps: chain AI steps by describing them.
Graduates out of Labs on November 17, 2026 and moves into Gemini as skills; old workflows stop running then. Status: Closing ✓. opal.google
Install Antigravity (the Only One That Needs It)
Step 1. Install
~2 min
Download the desktop app from antigravity.google/download, or install the command-line version in a terminal.
macOS / Linux:
curl -fsSL https://antigravity.google/cli/install.sh | bash
Windows (PowerShell):
irm https://antigravity.google/cli/install.ps1 | iex
Step 2. Start it and sign in
~1 min
Open a new terminal window, then run:
agy
Sign in with your Google account when it asks.
How to use the free plan well
The $0 plan has weekly limits. Treat it as a second coding agent next to Claude Code or Cursor, not a replacement for a paid plan you rely on all day.
Which One Should You Open?
| If… | Open |
|---|---|
| You need an app or website design | Stitch |
| You need social posts for a business | Pomelli |

If a Tool Won’t Open
| You see | It means | Do this |
|---|---|---|
| A sign-in button or a prompt box | It works for you | Sign in and start |
| A waitlist form | Not open to everyone yet | Join and move on to the next tool |
| “Not available in your country” | Region-limited (Pomelli, Mixboard) | Use the closest tool in the table above |
| A page asking you to pay | You hit the free limit | Wait for the reset (daily or weekly) |
agy: command not found | The terminal was open before the install | Close it and open a new one |
FAQ
Are these really free?
Each has a free way in on a normal Google account, with limits that vary by tool and change often. ✓ marks the ones whose free plan we read on the official page.
Why is Opal in the video if it’s closing?
It still works today, but Opal’s own site now says it graduates out of Labs on November 17, 2026, with workflows moving to skills in the Gemini app.
Is NotebookLM gone?
No, it’s the same tool renamed to Gemini Notebook. Your notebooks and the old links still work.
What about Claude?
If you code, Antigravity pairs well with Claude Code. Start with our 5 Claude Code settings and the 5 free MCP servers that need no API key.
How often is this list checked?
We re-open every link when we update the post; the date at the top is the last full check.
