6 One-Word AI Photo Codes That Actually Work (Tested in Gemini)

Last Verified: October 2026 — 11 codes run in Gemini, the 6 that worked shown

You’ve seen the videos: one photo, one word, and the person turns into a toy, a sticker or a comic. We ran 11 of these one-word “codes” on the same photo in Gemini. Six worked on the first try. Five did nothing or only half a job, and we show those too so you don’t waste your daily image limit on them.

TL;DR

  • Open Gemini (free app or gemini.google.com), upload one clear full-body photo, and send just the code, e.g. /chibi.
  • The six that work: /comic /minifigure /plushie /chibi /sticker /anime.
  • If the face changes, send the code again with keep my face after it.

How to Use a Code

  1. Start a new chat in Gemini so an earlier style doesn’t bleed in.
  2. Attach one photo: one person, face clearly visible, ideally head to toe.
  3. Send the code on its own. No sentence, no extra words.
  4. Want another style? Start a new chat and attach the original again (re-editing the result stacks the styles).

The 6 Codes That Work

The only code that changed the pose: it sat her down on a wooden table like a real plush, and even added a sewn-on tag.

Big head, big eyes, same clothes, same wall. A clean first-try result.

The subtlest of the six: clean line art and soft shading over the original pose. If you want a bigger change, add the look you want after the code (see the fixes below).

5 Codes That Didn’t Work (and the Fixes)

Same photo, same model, sent the same way. These came back unchanged or half-done, so a single word isn’t enough. Where two or three extra words fixed it, the fix is in the last column.

CodeWhat happenedFix that worked
/legoHalf a job: a toy head on a real body./lego minifigure, whole body
/voxelNo visible change./voxel minecraft character
/pixelartNo visible change./pixelart 8-bit game sprite
/claymationNo visible change.None found; skip it
/3dNo visible change.None found; skip it

Sample run · one word vs. three words

/voxel: nothing changed
/voxel: nothing changed
/voxel minecraft character: worked
/voxel minecraft character: worked

The one-word code is a guess at what you mean. Naming the look (“minecraft character”, “8-bit game sprite”) gives the model something concrete to draw.

If the Face Changes

Reply in the same chat with the code plus a short fix:

/chibi keep my face

For couples or groups, say keep both faces. If it still drifts, start a new chat with a sharper, front-facing photo; side angles and sunglasses are the usual cause.

FAQ

Are these free?

Yes. All six ran in the free Gemini app. Free accounts have a daily image limit, so skip the codes that don’t work.

Do they work in ChatGPT?

We only tested Gemini for this post. In ChatGPT, a short sentence such as turn this photo into a chibi is the safer bet.

Who is the person in the photos?

Nobody: the original is an AI-generated model, so no real person’s face was used. Your own photo works the same way.

Is it safe to upload my face?

Your photo goes to Google and may be kept under its privacy policy. Use a photo you’d be comfortable posting publicly, and ask before uploading anyone else.

Where are more photo prompts?

Our Halloween costume prompts and photo editing prompts that keep the face use the same before/after format.
